Hawaii County Civil Defense will hold Volcanic Ash and Vog Community Meeting on Thursday, June 21th to update residents about Volcanic Ash and Vog from Kilauea. The briefing will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Waikoloa Elementary & Middle School Cafeteria. 68-1730 Hooko St, Waikoloa Village, HI 96738 The ASL interpreters will be available there. Update DCAB Accessible Emergency Alerts

DCAB wants to know about your experiences during emergencies, particularly relating to the accessibility of emergency alerts. The video (click the link below) provides an overview of efforts to improve the accessibility of emergency information distributed to the community in Hawaii. Please view the sign language video- Which is also captioned and has voiceover- to learn more about these efforts and how you can share your experiences during emergencies. Need help due to Kilauea Eruption ?

Aloha everyone, I want to ask a question, is there anyone out in Puna who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing that needs help due to this eruption. If you know of anyone please let us know we can find them support. If can call 808-339-7297 or call a friend and have them call us. We have friends who sign ASL.
